Q03. I want to use images instead of shapes in diagrams¶
There are many built-in shapes that come standard with Next Design, but you can use your own images instead of the built-in shapes.
Operating procedure¶
To give your shape its own image in the diagram view definition:
Operating procedure
- Display the diagram of interest and select the shape you want to change.
- From the ribbon, click the Display> Pane> Inspector toggle button to display the Inspector and select the Shape Definition tab at the top of the Inspector.
- In the Shape Definition tab of the Inspector, click the Select figure button from the Style group to display the list of shapes.
- Click Other shapes at the bottom of the figure list to open the Select figure dialog.
- Select the Custom tab at the top of the dialog and click the + icon at the bottom to open the Figure registration dialog.
- Select the image file 1 to be used for the shape and click the [Open] button to add it to the list of shapes on the [Custom] tab as available shapes.
- Select the image added as a figure and click the [OK] button to switch the shape on the diagram to the selected image.
